We are getting these errors for some failed messages.

Jul 05 11:50:57 Transmission Created
Jul 05 11:51:00 Error: 421 4.3.2 Too many open connections.
Jul 05 12:01:02 Error: 421 4.3.2 Too many open connections.
Jul 05 12:01:02 Failed

What can we do about it?

Thanks
Alex

    Hey Alex,

Your SMTP server (Auth SMTP) appears to have a rate limit on their transmissions.

Is there a reason you guys jumped off of the Shared mail server we added to your account? Let me know, thanks!

Yes. Actually the reason was this issue:

If this is resolved, we will happily return to the shared server.
For us, it's really difficult to know what to do in those situations. We are app developers with little to no knowledge of mail relaying. For that we rely on you.

    Alex,

When did you make the switch? We have made quite a few improvements to the Shared server pipeline to make it more resilient and sturdy - give it a try if you haven't in the past couple of weeks.

    Thanks!

We are experiencing the same issue with messages starting to stack up and NOT getting sent out. Over 150 moved from "preparing" to "delivering", but the DELIVERED is still at [0]. Please advise.

    Thank you.

There was a temporary DNS problem that was holding up the transmission of these and other messages but it appears to be resolved now. I'll keep an eye on the situation.

    Thanks for pointing this out.
